Seco/Warwick is a
full service manufacturer of industrial heat treat equipment, beginning from
sales engineering specification and continuing through equipment design,
manufacturing, installation, furnace start-up and operator training. These
specialty furnaces are computer and PLC electronically controlled to meet
customer performance requirements.

SALES APPLICATIONS ENGINEERS
Originate layouts, concepts, and designs for sale of furnaces and modifications
to existing furnaces. Requires application of structural, combustion, heat
transfer and atmosphere design concepts. Assist customers in preparing
technical specifications. Negotiate customer contract issues, final price,
terms and conditions. BS ME or BS MET or equivalent.
ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEERS Design and develop all aspects of electrical
control components for industrial heat treat equipment. Must
have ability to program Allen Bradley PLCs, Rockwell
Software, and InTouch HMI.
Work with ME to design furnaces. Work with field service on installation and
start up of control software. BS EE or BS EET
or AS EE with experience.
PROJECT ENGINEERS Use engineering disciplines to design custom
industrial heat-treating equipment to customer performance and reliability
requirements. Engineer and design customer specific
solutions. Manage all technical activities on assigned OEM projects from
design through manufacturing. Provide key technical advice on OEM project to
support mechanical designers, electrical engineers, manufacturing supervisors,
and field service engineers to complete the project. BS ME
or BS MET.
FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERS Manage installation and startup of furnaces.
Troubleshoot and maintain equipment and electrical controls. Identify, analyze,
and repair equipment malfunctions and solve performance problems. Act as
liaison between customer and engineering team. Supervision of subcontracting
crews may be necessary depending upon the project. AS EE with
knowledge of control software or 2 to 5 years of industrial field service
experience. Mechanical aptitude essential.
MECHANICAL DESIGNERS – Use ACAD and 3D to draft and design
furnaces and associated handling equipment to manufacturing detail. Work
closely with project engineer to meet customer demands. . AS
in mechanical design or equivalent.
ESTIMATORS Prepare capital equipment estimates for projects ranging from
$100K to $5M. Forecast project costs. Gather details and compile data to
estimate all production costs according to design drawings specifications
PURCHASERS/BUYERS Develop RFQs for a wide range of
components necessary to manufacture furnaces and auxiliary equipment, evaluate
bids, negotiate terms, place orders, check vendor compliance for quality and
timeliness, and follow POs to completion. Understanding of mechanical equipment
and drawings is a plus. MS Office proficiency required.
